My darling husband

He's the pillar of strength behind me,
For years together he has stood behind me.

We have cared for each other,
For times we have withstood together;
The storms of life that we have faced,
To be together again as times have changed,
For the better years of life to come.

Pillar of Strength

As the years go by,
We stood behind each other;
For the years that have begone,
Are the years that will be remembered.

For the memories of yesteryears,
Should withstand the memories of today;
For years together, we have withstood
the weatherings of today.

Purity of thoughts

Thoughts come by, and are begone.

We have no access to other's thoughts,
It is as though we are trying to decipher them.

So that we understand them better through our feelings.

But it is an impossible task to be done,
For years poets have tried to put down their thoughts on paper,
To be read and re-read thro' the ages.

Golden Opportunity

The parks are open for children to play,
On the see-saw and slides and play-swings;
For parents thrill to join them in a sing-song way.

For it is for them that you enjoy the day,
For it is heavenly news that you have to fortell,
For everyday is their's to enjoy.

Forever and ever, you join your hands to pray,
For in your prayers a new day will come to flower,
A new tomorrow for us to enjoy on the morrow.

For everday we join our hands, in a silent prayer;
And so we lead the nation on to Glory again and again.

Motherhood

As a child, one always lives on a first sidelong glance;
As the looks grow older, your mother looks upon you as a child of God.

For it is here that we are born to rule,
The world that we see at the height of the day;
We should always pray hard that everything goes right.

For it is here that we see measures of peace and right;
For the right to live is given by none,
And so we seek the pleasures of life.

As we look left and right,
We see all that is good.

For we see the goods and the bads,
In life, and we seek justice for all to see.

The Ultimate Soul

When we hear the winds that howl,
Let's see if we can hear them too;
For the winds that hark in good news,
Newsletters are printed at night:
Night and day papers work themselves,
To augment the forces of nature.
Helpmaids many that help,
Will help you too.
For news has to be good,
For newspapers printed again,
With devil's print at hand.
Let's see how we can work,
At new's end will gain,
A paper forthright and news that's good.

Investment

When people wish to invest in shares,
They go around merrily,
Trying to figure out the rates of interest.

It is only then that we know,
Whether to invest;
For the market may go up and down,
The fluctuating turns of the market,
Make people cautious of their interest rates.

They watch the market carefully,
As it goes up and down,
It is common courtesy to play with the market,
So that we can catch the best of interests.

Leaves are Green

I heard a soft rustling sound in the trees,
The leaves are brushing at each other;
I saw a brave tree standing all by itself,
One tree said to another tree, we all saw you the other day;
I worry when the leaves will get brown again.
We whisper to each other by gaining in confidence;
We have to part with our own leaves, be they green or brown.
But the beginning of the leaves to fall,
Begins with a beginning of the autumn season;
The autumn season is here to flower,
With beginning of the seasons.

Marriages are made in heaven

I met a man, a very long time back,
Whom I fell in love with plenty of times;
And that very boy I am living with now.
I hope you like him and cherish him,
For he has given me two loving kids,
To love and cherish.
These children bring me joy and love,
For these two children I will cherish
As long as I live.
The world has to know that,
Children are made to cherish and love,
For togetherness in a family,
Is what families are made for,
So I long to tell you stories remade,
With sincere efforts on my part;
I hope to tell you a tale in heaven.

Imagination

It's time to think again of our fortunes,
Until it is time to tell of what we have gained;
It's our wealth that stands to tell,
Time and again, we invite friends over,
To share our fortunes with them;
For it is there that we love to tell,
That it's a good thing to tell them over and over again.

Of things that we stand to gain,
Of good fortune and gains to tell,
Of our major fortitude.

Cricket

You keep on reminding me of the time,
But when you keep a watch on the line;
It's better we discuss a few things:
A few match points to be discussed.
And so we go on pitching our time
Until it is time to retire until the next match.
We keep on playing upto match point,
Until we keep on watching the time
Scores to keep on telling,
Until it's time to win over again.

Fortune Teller

How many strands of magic do you weave,
Upon each one you weave a different story.
You end up weaving your own personality.
Look upon the world as your field
For it is there that you shall write a new tale.
Of days bygone and tomorrows to relate to,
And I shall tell you stories everyday
To renew our relationships each day.

Time Flies

For those who keep track of time,
It is to them that we invite to dine,
There are certain people who spend time idly,
They do not know a thing about how to be tidy;
For lessons in keeping clean,
Are developed right thro' the years of childhood.
The early days of learning should be spent fruitfully,
So that in later years we do not live regretfully.

Weaving Magic

Thro' the threads of time
You tell the stories of yore.
I listen to you patiently
But you don't have the time,
The listening chords of silence;
Need time to tell you a story of ours
Which thro' the history of time
Will write a tale of thine.
To tell the history of tales,
Which children would like to hear,
And so thro' the times we sail,
To a world of our own.

Pathways

As we meander thro' life,
Thinking of the aims to be achieved;
We think not of worthless strife,
But of the milestones to be crossed.

What if we have to pause awhile,
To thank our stars for the wonderful pile
of good fortunes and faith alike.

Which has made it worth our while,
To wait in mid life
To try and look back;
On the good things which we have been offered
To seek the bliss and hopefullness of our younger days.

Memories

As the evening shadows fall,
The lengthening of the trees so tall;
As you lie around in the hammock.
Let the lights twinkle around,
Starlight and happy memories shall enjoin.

You think of memories which you have stocked,
There are many of them good and bad,
But we shall stop to think of pleasant ones.

It is those which evoke within us,
Feelings of a varied kind;
Sometimes when we lie in thought,
We think of dreams we sought,
Some achieved, some forsaken,
And in that arises a feeling of thankfullness,
That we have enriched our life with happiness.

Lifetime

Once in a way you while away your time
Thinking of thoughts unknown to none
Featuring dreams of the future
You walk through avenues unknown to all.

Sitting all the time seems to confuse your senses
Until it's time you move on again.

Life's Tapestry

Shimmering lights on the waves of time,
As the sun sets down slowly in a line;
As we gaze upon the golden ball of light,
We think of things happy and bright.

What we perceive are the different wonders of nature,
Everyone upholds a different view of the future,
But we should spare a moment to think of things,
bright and wonderful,
The gifts of God that he has bestowed on us
through the years of time.

Reaching Out

In the fading sunlight, as we walk along
Taking a stroll for some furlong,
We notice the changes in the sky,
Colours blue, white and orange fly,
The day has come to a close.

The trees silence themselves,
And the flowers close down gracefully,
To await the start of another new day.

Nature in all its glory is,
Something one notices at the end of the day.

It's time to take respite
And wait for the morning to dawn.

Feathered Friends

Do you see the cuckoo in the nest,
Waiting to see it's birdies hatch!
This is what we all want to see,
For that is what the world will view;
And hatchlings birth anew.

Waiting for the worms to come,
The parent birds fly hither and thither,
To catch the worms in the haystack,
Do you see what I see,
The birds are happy again to see the world anew.
